March 2021 Virtual RADE Meeting

Welcome to our first 2021 RADE meeting!

Come and learn about health disparities and equity in diabetes, how it impacts our community, why it matters and what you can do about it! We hope you are able to join us!

St. John Fisher College, Wegmans School of Pharmacy is graciously providing virtual support for this program. We are looking forward to learning about this extremely important topic from Joslin Diabetes Center’s Lic. Andreina Millan-Ferro, Licentiate in Nutrition and Dietetics. She has given invited presentations all over the country and has extensive research and publication experience on health inequities in diabetes. On March 23rd she will present an interactive live webinar on "Equity in  Diabetes: Why it matters and what you can do" 

Together we will learn:

 1. Demonstrate how personal background impacts diabetes care and education 

 2. Define social determinants of health and explain how inequities affect diabetes outcomes 

 3. Recognize teaching strategies to incorporate health literacy in DSMES 

This activity is approved for 1.5 hours of continuing pharmacy & nursing education credits

In collaboration with St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy we offer ACPE accredited CPE credits. For more information check out the WSOP webpage. This activity has been approved for 1.5 hour of Continuing Pharmacy Education. There is no commercial support of this event.
